Pete Stewart’s Steam of Consciousness with host Pete Stewart is a semi-weekly eclectic music program, Mondays 4-7 PM, playing various shades of blues, folk, funk, jazz, acoustic with a little world music thrown in. I always prepare but rarely plan. Attention is paid to the relationships of songs within a set and continuity from set to set. Sometimes the magic works, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s a live radio highwire act without a net! For the most part, I still love the stuff I was playing in the late ‘80s but am filled with delight when I discover something new. All the music recorded in the last hundred years is available to us, and it’s a joy to explore that wide universe!
