Preservation Sound Radio with Chris Ruggiero is a monthly all-vinyl program created by composer/producer Chris Ruggiero. The show airs from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Ruggiero uses each program to highlight a particular genre or theme, with most selections being obscurities and cult-favorites from the 1970s. There is a frequent focus on ex-US prog, psych, psych-folk, soul, and post-punk. Round-robin shows with guest selectors are a common feature as well, with Ruggiero and his collaborators choosing tracks on-the-fly, each one a response to the track played immediately prior.
