WPKN is responding to meet the needs of the community with independent, community radio by participating with GivingTuesday
Bridgeport, CT November 16, 2022 – Giving Tuesday is almost here!
It’s time to get ready for the largest global giving day of the year – Giving Tuesday – on November 29th.
Community nonprofit WPKN Radio will be joining thousands of other charitable organizations by asking our listeners to participate in this worldwide donation celebration.
We have set a goal of raising $5,000 in just 24 hours and we’ll need your support to achieve this.
WPKN transcends any of its individual programs, music genres or points of view. The station is a unique and important soundscape that speaks to our local community and well beyond. This mission is only made possible through your generosity.
Please take a moment to reflect on what WPKN represents in today’s media maelstrom: we provide a commercial-free platform for broadcasting news, music, ideas and community voices that can not be heard anywhere else. Our only commitment is to you – our listeners.
