  • America 250 at Fairfield Museum and History Center, Fairfield, CT

    The Fairfield Museum and History Center is commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, in partnership with dozens of cultural organizations, to present a diverse array of public programs, exhibitions, and community events throughout the year. The historic milestone is an opportunity to explore how we have evolved as a community and debate the challenges ahead in dialogue across generations.

    To mark the 250th year of the Declaration, Fairfield Museum is running Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness: The Declaration at 250 from July 2nd through 19th, 2026. Other exhibitions include Fairfield in 1776: Revolution & Resilience (April 30, 2026 – January 3, 2027), Portraits of Fairfield (May 14 – September 27, 2026), and Happy Anniversary! Centenary Celebrations & Beyond (May 30 – November 8, 2026).

  • Shoreline Summer Festival At Armada Brewing, New Haven CT – Saturday, July 11 11AM

    WPKN is a media partner with the Shoreline Summer Festival, a grassroots daylong event which exists to celebrate and uplift Connecticut’s do-it-yourself music and arts scene.

    Shoreline Summer Fest is happening on Saturday, July 11th, at Armada Brewing in New Haven, CT. Doors open at 10:30AM and music runs from 11AM to 10PM, with over 25 bands playing across multiple stages. Plus local makers, artists, and food vendors.   • Falcon Ridge Folk Festival at Goshen Fairgrounds, Goshen, CT – Thursday, July 24 through Sunday, July 26

    WPKN is a media partner in the 2026 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, happening on July 24, 25 & 26 at the Goshen Fairground in Goshen, CT. The 2026 festival welcomes Falcon favorites Nerissa & Katryna Nields, the Slambovian Circus of Dreams, The Storycrafters, and more.

    Gates will open daily at 9 AM, with music hours extending from 10 AM to 10 PM. On-site camping is an option, as well as off-site lodging.

  • Jon Batiste Live at the Westville Music Bowl, New Haven CT – Thursday, August 13th 7PM

    WPKN is a media partner in Jon Batiste Live at the Westville Music Bowl in New Haven Thursday August 13th, doors open at 5:30 and the show starts at 7 PM.

    Batiste’s work spans jazz, classical, and contemporary music, including his recent release Beethoven Blues (Batiste Piano Series, Vol. 1), featuring reinterpretations of Beethoven’s compositions. His 2023 album World Music Radio explores global influences and collaborations across genres.

    Batiste is also known for his award-winning film score for Soul, his contributions to film and television, and his tenure as bandleader and musical director for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

     

     

  • LCD Soundsystem with Victoryland | College Street Music Hall, New Haven CT | Thursday, Friday & Saturday, September 10, 11 & 12th | 8PM

    WPKN is a media partner for three evening performances by LCD Soundsystem, presented by Premier Concerts & Manic Presents, with special guest Victoryland. The trio of concerts are happening at College Street Music Hall on Thursday, September 10th; Friday, September 11th; and Saturday, September 10th.

    Doors open at 7PM and music starts at 8PM. From “Losing My Edge” to “Daft Punk Is Playing at My House” and beyond, LCD Soundsystem continues to blend dancefloor grooves, post-punk energy, and electric live performances.
