WPKN is participating in the Fairfield County Giving Day, which takes place this coming Thursday, February 25, 2021. We have participated in this event before, but this is an especially important time to encourage listeners to donate as we prepare to move to our new home. By raising money for WPKN through this event, we are eligible for special bonus prizes. Participation also helps to build our relationship with the Fairfield Community Foundation. The FCF is excited about working with WPKN on our move project and has already helped to funnel some significant donor funds in our direction.

About Fairfield County’s Giving Day

Powered by Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, Fairfield County’s Giving Day is our region’s biggest philanthropic event and will be back for its eighth year on February 25, 2021! Plus, we’re happy to share that Bank of America will provide their power and support as our Champion Sponsor! Fairfield County’s Giving Day brings people together to make a difference for local nonprofits that deliver vital services to our neighborhoods. Through Giving Day, thousands of people are joining together to make a BIG impact and strengthen the place we live and work. This one-day, regional effort harnesses the collective power of individuals, friends, families, businesses, employee groups, school groups, and others to transform how people think about, talk about and participate in giving. In a time of uncertainty and as we all navigate uncharted waters, Fairfield County’s Giving Day provides our region with a safe, comfortable, and familiar virtual fundraising experience.
