The center promotes the history and culture of the Lenape people (whose original homeland of Lenapehoking encompasses parts of NY, NJ and PA) through the arts, environmental advocacy, social justice, and agricultural practices. Curtis is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma.
