Rock Therapy with Rob Silber

A special edition of Rock Therapy featuring two of the area’s most popular bands.

At 7:30 AM, a conversation with Joziah and Tink of Slambovian Circus Of Dreams as we discuss their upcoming show at Park City Music Hall in Bridgeport on December 16th. It’s a fundraiser for WPKN and the Black Rock Food Pantry. It’s also a celebration of “A Very Slambovian Christmas” with lots of holiday tunes as well as music from their current album “A Very Unusual Head.”

Then at around 8:15 AM, we’ll have a live appearance by Rex Fowler & Dodie Pettit of Aztec Two Step 2.0. They’ll play some tunes as well as talk about their upcoming show at Stage One in Fairfield on December 16th.

Writer’s Voice with Francesca Rheannon

This week, two feminist novelists from the African continent. Nigerian novelist Omolola Ijeoma Ogunyemi talks about her novel of interlocking short stories, “Jollof Rice and Other Revolutions.”

Then, we harken back to our conversation earlier this year with NoViolet Bulaweyo about her novel of Zimbabwe, “Glory.” It was shortlisted for the 2022 Man Booker Prize.
