Scott has worked in radio since his college days when he served as a DJ and then manager of a small college radio station. When he came to WPKN 89.5 FM in ’73, Scott hosted a weekly blues program that through the years featured an increasing number of public affairs interview segments. In ’87, that show became Counterpoint.

I’m a child of the early sixties who grew up in Elizabeth, New Jersey, a scrappy town that reminds me in many ways of Bridgeport, which has been my home base since 2015. With the help of my two older sisters, we grew up together in the 1960s, the most exciting and adventurous decade for music in our lifetimes.

I love music, but I don’t want to be just a jukebox. Hence, my show mixes up long, carefully arranged sets in multiple genres with segments that draw upon my journalistic background, including interviews with authors, experts in many fields, and musicians.
